Europe Makes Ceramics

2025 yCAM forum in Toulouse

The 2025 edition of the young Ceramists Additive Manufacturing Forum (yCAM) was organized by ECerS at INP ENSIACET in Toulouse, France, from 23 to 25 April

yCAM is a symposium and a forum on Additive Manufacturing of Ceramics dedicated to young scientists and is an initiative of Europe Makes Ceramics (EMC), the Additive Manufacturing network of ECerS.  Everyone interested in AM who is a student, young researcher or young professional was welcome to join the event. yCAM 2025 was a place for open discussion, combining high-quality scientific presentations with a fresh and informal discussion at all levels, from learning the basics of new technologies to sharing practical experiences.

The main topics of the 2025 forum were:

  • Material jetting technologies (MJ, BJ)
  • Vat photopolymerization (DLP, SLA, 2PP, Hologram)
  • Materials extrusion technologies (FFF, DIW)
  • Emerging, hybrid and multi-material technologies
  • Applications: dental and medical application, energy storage and transformation, space
  • Technology: pre- and post-processing techniques, toolpath optimization, online monitoring, digitalisation
  • Analysis: mechanical testing, powder and slurry analysis

Some numbers about yCAM 2025:

  • There were 105 participants attending coming from 19 countries (Armenia, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Czechia, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Switzerland, Ukraine, United Kingdom).
